Unfortunate update

Update: You may all find this an interesting read.

I’m so very sorry for this sad update, but since there are a lot of fans of the KSC series visiting around our site, I should post in this.

The author of the KSC manga, Yoshito Usui has been marked as a missing person by his family starting this Tuesday, after he went on a hiking trip to a nearby prefecture (namely Gunma) and didn’t came back home that afternoon, as promised. His family requested the police to find him and apparently, what they did find out that his last call made from his cell phone was last monday, 14 Sep.

The sad part is that Saturday, 19 Sep., they found a body at the bottom of a rocky ledge near the Arafune mountain (that specific cliff being named Tomoiwa), where he went to hike, the clothes matching the description left by Yoshito’s family in the search request.

The next day, Sunday, 20 Sep. some dental records and visual identification of the body by Yoshito’s family, and the result turned out that the body was Usui.

This video is what our translator found and translated, we would like to thank her for taking time to translate the summary of it. The translation is as follows:

” Usui Yoshito went for a hike on Mount Arafune (400m) on September 11th, telling his family that he will be back by the afternoon.
As he did not return, the family called the police and a search party was sent out.
The publisher was shocked, as they were in contact a few days before, and everything seemed fine. They had received many manga chapters for the next few months.
Hikers at the mountain said that the trail was very easy, and it was hard to get lost in such an environment.
On the 19th, a body was found under a sharp drop, about 100m in height.
There was something strange with Usui’s cell phone signal.
On the 12th, it was detected in Karuizawa. On the 13th, it was detected in Gunma.
However the body was discovered on the 19th.
Mountain climbing was one of Usui’s hobbies, and people said it was not a difficult path.
It is not determined if the body belongs to him. ”

We, Kureyon Alliance would like to express our sincere condolences towards Yoshito’s family and friends, hoping that the could easily get over their loss. May he rest in peace
